Strathmore and The Glens has been set up to facilitate the implementation of ideas which would improve the way of life across a broad sweep of the countryside in Eastern Perthshire.

The Community markets are held on the 4th Saturday of the month from April to November and have a number of aims: to provide a source of healthy, affordable and tasty food for the residents of East Perthshire and Strathmore areas; to promote a positive image of Blairgowrie and to contribute to the economic regeneration of the area; to contribute to the health and sustainability of East Perthshire and Strathmore agriculture by providing an outlets for small local producers; to create a friendly, accessible and pleasing space where everyone can feel welcome - promoting links between all members of the community; the public, shoppers, businesses and visitors. We are involved in a range of activitites including the Blairgowrie & East Perthshire Walking Festival www.walkingfestival.org, Sirolli Enterprise Facilitation Project www.sirolli.com, and are lead Partner in the East Perthshire Iniative.
