The principle of the COPE initiative is to enable Adults with Learning Disabilities who are excluded from Employment and Community Service, the opportunity to plan, participate in, and manage their own small businesses. Cope has achieved this by establishing a dedicated enterprise centre from where the target group conducts social and economical activities, and by so doing, are changing perceptions about the contribution Adults with Learning Difficulties can make in the Community.
