Profile
North Edinburgh Arts' remit is to promote lifelong learning and social inclusion through participation in and awareness of the arts. NEA operates in the housing estates in North Edinburgh, an area of multiple deprivation with few social amenities. It has been working in the area, in makeshift conditions, for a number of years and has established a wide range of successful groups - particularly young people, the elderly and the disabled. It also has a number of established business partnerships including local schools and community groups, enterprise groups and local businesses.
