Girvan food co-op was established in February 2002. It currently operates successfully in two venues within Girvan- Glendoure Centre and Boyle Court Sheltered Housing- and provides a range of fresh fruit, vegetables and eggs to the community at affordable prices. The food co-op is non-profit making and is run by a committee of volunteers with assistance from workers in South Ayrshire Councils community development team.
