Provision of vocational training for adults with learning disabilities and individuals from other disadvantaged groups. Project provides 3 year training course in food related environment whereby adults are given the opportunity to gain practical experience in a working environment, job coaching and final placement into paid employment. The Engine Shed offers training opportunities to adults with learning disabilities to enable them to make the successful transition into paid employment. 5 production units offer a work and training environment in a range of settings - Bakery, Food Processing, Cafe, Outside Catering and wholefood shop. Training can be offered for up to 3 years and combines training within The Engine Shed with work experience placements arranged with local employers.
