Glachbeg Croft Education Centre – North Kessock
Profile
To provide educational programmes for children and adults with special needs in the context of farming and the countryside. In particular looking at growing fruit and vegetables as well as looking at food production processes such as seed planting, harvesting and bread making.
Notes
Glachbeg is a croft providing education and community programmes, custom made to suit individual purposes. We also provide placements for a small number of adults wiht special needs.
For schools Glachbeg provides an exciting hads on context for delivering the curriclum in its widest sense. The community group operate open days and a programme of art and craft workshops . All activities are based in our new sustainably designed and built education centre building. The building is also for hire for meetings, music events etc etc.
