Boat of Garten Community Company CADISPA is involved in two sustainable development projects in Boat of Garten. One of these is a ‘Village Enhancement’ project, which incorporates a BBC Beechgrove Community Garden project, and various signposting, resurfacing and lighting works. The other project aims to provide improved Village Hall facilities for the community. The outcome of much discussion and debate within the local community has been a plan to proceed with a new Village Hall development, which will provide facilities for various local groups and private functions, arts and crafts markets, an ‘internet café’, a toy museum and other proposed activities. A Community Company has been set up to manage the various aspects of the development projects.
