The original aim of the group was to construct a replacement Cattle Mart for the agricultural sector on Tiree, and the project has since broadened to encompass a range of rural sector services, including business, reference and marketing information, as well as online, conference and exhibition facilities. The inclusion of conservation agencies (SNH and RSPB) adds another interesting dimension to the project.
