The Isle of Eigg craftshop is a craft producers cooperative and outlet, set up as a limited company. It is opened on a seasonal basis and manned by local craft producers who sell their goods in the shop, such as knitwear, cards, papier mache ware, baskets, pot-pourri and soaps, tie-dye t-shirts, books and mugs all made on Eigg or produced by people living on the island. Some of the goods are sold to raise money for island organisations and projects. People living in the Highlands of Scotland and in the area surrounding Eigg can also sell their products in the craftshop which is now developping an exhibition space for watercolours and photography. The craftshop also promotes craft activities and craft development on the isle of Eigg, by organising training events and sourcing funding.
