LOCAL SOCIAL ENTERPRISE NETWORKS Fife Social Enterprise Network was the first Local Social Enterprise Network to start up. The first meeting took place in 2004 at Furniture Plus in Dysart. FSEN is one of the most active Networks, with 17 members; 2 of whom are also members of the Local Social Economy Partnership. FSEN is also lucky enough to have had financial support from the Social Enterprise Development Partnership, which has funded a part-time Administrator to take notes at meetings and arrange catering etc. This has helped enormously to establish FSEN. FSEN have had visits from their local CDFI, Social Investment Scotland and Social Entrepreneur of the Year 2005 Nick Baxter of Cornerstone. They have also managed to agree a training day on Local Authority Procurement Practice with Fife Council and received £5,000 from the LSEP to commission a Social Enterprise Directory for Fife.
