Trans-Fife Community Transport is a community business with charitable status, providing non-statutory transport services on a not for profit basis.
The organisation now employs 19 members of staff, 4 trainees and over 40 volunteers. Since its inception in 1989 to the present day, Trans-Fife has expanded from managing one minibus to running 17 accessible vehicles along with the delivery of other mobility related services.
The purpose of the organisation is to remove accessibility and mobility barriers across the community of Fife with a particular emphasis on frail elderly people, people with disabilities who are unable to access conventional public transport and those who are socially excluded through a lack of altrnative transport.
