Concepts – Crosshill

Profile

Concepts was initially developed through the School for Social Entreprenuers in 2005/2006 by James Glen whilst launching a free gallery for artists to promote their work online (http://art.concepts.org.uk | http://www.conceptart.org.uk). The gallery was hosted and supported for free by Subliminal Directions whom also provided office space support. With the closure of Subliminal Directions, Concepts relocated to a new server and new premises, and is now being further developed by Duncan McMahnon (former CEO Subliminal Directions, SSE Fellow) and James Glen (former designer Subliminal Directions, SSE fellow). Duncan McMahon - BACKGROUND HISTORY Duncan McMahon has a proven track record in developing not for profit projects and has worked extensively with many organisations working within the third sector, whether through Project Development, or Photography. Duncan has developed Subliminal Directions, FATE, and is involved with the Local Community Council and the Holiday Activity Group. James Glen - BACKGROUND HISTORY James Glen has worked within the Third Sector in various capacities for many years and has helped develop and inititiate FATE. James has continually developed the Online Art resource: http://art.concepts.org.uk, as well as developing extensive marketing material for Subliminal Directions and other organisations working within the Third Sector.
