Craigmillar Capacity Building project offers local people the skills, resources and support they need to participate as fully as possible in the developments and activities that affect Craigmillar.
This project achieves this by:
Providing community based learning opportunities
Facilitating workshops, consultations and seminars on issues of common interest or concern
Supporting and developing effective Community representative structures
Administering a community grants scheme
Support financial inclusion through the development of a locally owned and controlled Credit Union
Overseeing the day to day management of a local social and economic centre
Promoting Community Involvement
