3DC.org.uk came into existence in 2006 when 4 technologists with different skills came together with a simple aim, offer web skills and services for nothing or next to nothing. We all worked successfully together and bring all our services to bear for the good of the communities we service. Doesn't mean we won't help organisations outwith our primary area. We have community councils and support groups from all over the UK benefitting from our knowledge and resources.
We are multi-disciplined technologists in a business environment, however, we just say "We make the stuff work for you" - it's easier and less imposing to say!
We aim to help our clients use the Internet and related technologies to help them achieve their goals, from reaching their target audience, reducing overheads and increasing income, we do this in a way that is unique and beneficial to our clients!
Our packages are very cost effective, we start at completely free and try to stay there, if there is a cost it's usually at what we need to pay for and well explained beforehand, normally domain names and some web based services that we need to buy in.
We are a community based company. If we make any money we invest what we make into extending the free services we offer or into enhanced facilities for our clients and operating our community web site network.
What is 3DC.org.uk?
We are a technology solutions organisation, specialising in the use of the Internet and its related technologies. We do the following for our clients:
Design and develop web sites:
We design the web site and help you develop it, which means that we understand that as your understanding of web sites and what you can do with a website grows we change your web site, no additional cost is incurred for changing it, either adding or removing pages. Depending upon your technical skills we can provide a better system for you to use and continue to provide support.
Support and Consultancy:
We help to develop your skills through a monthly newsletter and offer free advice on the best buys available, from computers and peripherals to software and the internet. This includes reviewing your current set up, pre procurement advice, negotiating with suppliers and advice on the care and use of the equipment. Please note that we do not sell any equipment directly.
Training:
This is targeted at your needs, be that a one on one program on basic computer knowledge, all the way through to training groups on specialist software. We are currently setting up a self contained 4 station computer system with independent access to the internet that can be set up anywhere.
IT Support:
We can provide remote and on site support to our clients ensuring that they remain operating at all times. We can deliver this over the internet and on site as required.
Our aim is to be your partner rather than just a supplier.
What you get from us
1. We aim to respond to our clients' requests within the week.
2. If any work entails additional cost, we will provide you with a precise cost before commencing with the work. If this is not possible we will provide the most accurate estimate we can before incurring additional cost.
3. If the request is beyond the technical skills of the 3DC.org.uk team, ie database design and construction, we will tell you this and source a reliable third party and provide you witha precise cost, or if this is not possible we will provide the most accurate estimate we can.
4. We will review your website at regular intervals and suggest changes or ensure that the web site remains optimised.
Why free?
We know the where, how and why about the internet and the services available. It's straightforward to us and we give our time and spare resources to groups who offer the same.
But why free to businesses?
Small businesses and social businesses require that leg up at the beginning, the government agencies do not assist these groups because they are stretched and aim their services at larger businesses. Small businesses and social businesses support community economies, so it's in the interest of the community to help them succeed.
If you need help with the internet and anything that surrounds it drop us an email and we'll do our best to help, if you need a web site there is an online application form on our site - easy and quick to use.
