NIDOS is a network of organisations in Scotland involved in international development. We aim to improve the effectiveness of Scotland's international development sector by facilitating and promoting the sharing of experience, ideas and information on international development policy and practice. NIDOS is a registered charity (SCO35314).
Through its work, NIDOS aims to:
1. contribute to international development by encouraging communication among organisations in Scotland committed to the elimination of inequality, poverty and discrimination worldwide;
2. increase understanding of the international development sector in Scotland;
3. build the strength and capacity of the non-government international development sector in Scotland;
4. provide a forum to discuss and present opinion on key issues of international development with decision makers within Scotland, the UK and beyond.
