Paperclip started off seven years ago as a local community council website development project, extended to include local information, advertising, festivals and tourism information, and gradually grew to include around 1,000 pages of information from all parts of Scotland from Glagow to Lothian and the Western Isles. The paid-for aspects of the site complement and support the free public information development aspects, and the organisation is gradually moving towards formal registration as a social enterprise.
