Mission: Our mission is taken directly from our Memorandum of Association and we are therefore legally bound by it: 'To promote ecological sustainability, social justice and personal development through consultancy services.' Vision: Footprint’s vision is to be a small-scale social enterprise that is ecological sustainable and socially responsible, and that promotes both these values as it’s core service product. Footprint was also set up to demonstrate that an organisation can be self-reliant, while strictly adhering to the highest social and ecological standards and without having charitable status, or being long-term dependant on fund-raising. The trick to Footprint’s vision is that there is no incongruence between the way the organisation works, the services it offers and the ecosystem it is part of. Approach What's unqiue about our approach to Human Ecology, is that we use the new emerging field of Ecopsychology as a framework for analysing the structures and systems that hold current unsustainable patterns of living in place, and for finding new fair and sustainable ways forward.
