Govan Workspace is an independent, economic development agency which was established in 1981 by local people who set out to create employment through the promotion of small businesses.
To achieve its goal, the organisation has devoted itself for the past twenty years to the creation of managed workspace facilities in Govan. It now provides 120,000 square feet of commercial and industrial premises on three sites, which accommodate around 90 businesses employing some 550 people.
As a community-owned business, Govan Workspace is committed to investing profits in the continuing search for solutions to local unemployment. The company has been financially self-sufficient since 1986 and owns properties which have an asset value of £2m.
