To assist in the relief of poverty in the Third World by conducting education and action relating to the extent and causes of poverty and by promoting development issues in Scotland
SEAD is a national organisation based in Scotland but often working in co-operation with groups overseas. SEAD has been doing groundbreaking work since 1978. Our work includes: Building solidarity: For the last 28 years SEAD has run very successful educational exchanges between groups in Scotland and groups in South Africa, the Dominican Republic, India, Ecuador and Brazil, to name but a few. This is sometimes done in partnership with different organisations (including most recently Friends of the Earth Scotland, People and Planet Edinburgh, and Rising Tide UK).
