CBAVS provides information and support to social enterprises, both for new starts and organisations wishing to develop. This includes help with identifying the right legal structure for your organisation, charitable recognition if appropriate, and links to other organisations, agencies and networks for mutual benefit. Our qualified staff have an excellent record in helping organisations to access grant funding opportunities as well as the development of income generating activities, and specialist support for identifying the right financial processes. On a practical level, we can provide a range of training, serviced office accommodation in the central Borders and a range of resources (information library, colour photo-copying, laminating, equipment on loan) – all at low or no cost to help organisations keep overheads at a minimum. And if we can’t help you, we’ll say so and signpost you to someone who can! CBAVS is the Council for Voluntary Service for the central Borders area; we work closely with colleagues in Berwickshire, Roxburghshire and Tweeddale to provide a comprehensive service for the whole of the
