Dundee Voluntary Action is one of 59 Councils for Voluntary Service (CVSs) operating in Scotland. Our role is to advise and assist community and voluntary groups in the Dundee area. We do this in the following ways: Assisting groups to address local needs; Helping them to shape and respond to local and national policy; Support them to carry out their work effectively by developing appropriate services; Providing advice and support on funding opportunities. We also have a role in engaging with local and national government. We do this by: Taking part in the community planning process; Involvement in the Government's Social Justice agenda; Being involved in partnerships with different agencies.
