Sustainable living centre, practical conservation, recycling and composting.

Talamh is firstly a Housing Cooperative of roughly 12 people who share resources, eat and socialise together. Our ethos is ecological and we try to live as sustainably as possible by growing much of our own food, having our own energy supply (a micro hydro turbine) and dealing with our own waste (compost toilets and soon-to-be reed bed). Members of the coop are involved in all sorts of things from herbalism to activism, from aboriculture to artistic endeavours. We also run an environmental education charity, Talamh Life Centre, which exists to carry our beliefs into the wider community, both locally and globally in a multitude of ways. The charity is run entirely on a voluntary basis. We are open to visitors (especially helpful ones!) at any time, but please contact to check first.
