Growth and Replication Challenge 2

The Challenge is a competitive opportunity that combines bespoke business support with tailored financial backing. Social Investment Scotland are looking for organisations who have developed strategies for growth or replication, are looking for investment between £100k and £1M and need help to make that happen in 2018. Expressions of interest must be in by 11 December 2017.

Power up Scotland Programme

Big Issue Invest and partners have launched the Power Up Scotland Programme to develop early stage social businesses through investment, business support and cross-sector partnerships. Power Up is open to organisations across Scotland and has made £750,000 available to lend over the next two years.

Social Enterprise Support Fund - Aberdeenshire

Councillors are supporting the sector with a £200,000 Social Enterprise Support Fund which will be open for applications until March 2019. The fund includes grants for new permanent employees, training, expert advice, and for feasibility studies into new income streams. There is also a grant for the establishment of new social enterprises, and for the establishment new income streams for existing social enterprises. Applications ongoing until March 2019.

National Lottery Awards for All Scotland

The new name for Awards for All Scotland, the National Lottery Awards for All Scotland offers funding from £300 to £10,000 to support what matters to people and communities. Applications are ongoing.

Young Start

Young Start is a grants programme that distributes money from dormant bank accounts. They want to fund a wide range of projects for up to two years that will make children and young people aged 8 to 24 confident, healthy, connected or enterprising. Applications are ongoing.

Circular Economy Investment Fund

The Circular Economy Investment Fund is a funding opportunity for businesses and organisations in Scotland working in all business and social economy sectors. A circular economy is one that’s sustainable, and as much as possible eliminates waste. Applications are ongoing.

Shell Live Wire Awards

£5,000 is given each month to new young social entrepreneurs looking to implement innovative business solutions that meet the energy and resource needs of a growing population. Applications are ongoing.
