Workshop Opportunities in South of Scotland

March 1, 2019

A South of Scotland Support Programme Workshop.

What is the South of Scotland Support Programme?

This series of free events brings together local and national agencies to support organisations, across the new South of Scotland Economic Partnership region, in developing enterprising activities. Designed for individuals, staff, managers or board members of community groups, social enterprises and charities, there are a range of events to suit organisations at different stages of their enterprise journey.

The South of Scotland Programme is funded by the South of Scotland Economic Partnership and runs from January 2019 to March 2020. Over this period, several workshop series and additional support will be provided; the first of which is the Introduction to Enterprise workshop series.

Introduction to Enterprise Workshops

Those at the earliest stage will find the ‘Introduction to Enterprise’ workshops useful, helping them consider how they or their group could establish enterprising activities for social benefit. Run by Scotland’s national social enterprise start-up support organisation, Firstport, the workshops are a blend of knowledge and experience and help attendees consider legal models, ideas generation, feasibility and action planning.
