The notion of business with a conscience- working to be more responsible, inclusive and to benefit local communities- is growing and Firstport is here to help make it happen!
If you are a wondering what exactly a "social enterprise" is, or you are thinking about starting one, this workshop is the place to start.

This workshop is for:
Budding Social Entrepreneurs
Third sector organisations thinking about branching out into social enterprise
Anyone interested in social enterprise!

This workshop will:
Outline the social enterprise scene, UK and Scotland
Go through what social enterprise means
Outline the different legal structures that a social enterprise may adopt
Provide examples of social enterprise activity
Give a chance to ask any questions

After this event you will have a better understanding of the different sectors (charity, voluntary, social enterprise) and how they differentiate from each other. You will also acknowledge the range of skills, knowledge and aptitudes needed to run an effective social enterprise.
In addition, you will have the opportunity to meet the Firstport team and network with other budding social entrepreneurs, share experiences, tips and more!

These workshops are delivered and funded through the Just Enterprise contract.
