Those who have decided to embark on a new enterprise have probably already taken some steps, however informal, to confirm the viability of their new social enterprise. Following on from the previous workshops, creating a written plan is the next logical step in that process.
Formulating a business plan is one of the most important tasks when starting up a new business. It will help you set targets, collate all your ideas, plan for the future of your enterprise and see if your idea for a business is realistic and workable. The business plan is an essential tool in attracting funding to get started.
In this workshop we'll address key questions about business plans:
• Business Success/Failure
• What you need to know to run a business
• Why have a plan
• Work through a basic social enterprise plan
After this workshop you would have a better understanding of what a business plan should include, how you should go about writing one and what you will achieve by doing so. You will also leave with hints and tips as well as templates and other sources of further information.
All the workshops are facilitated by one of Firstport’s business advisors, who will encourage you to ask questions and interact and network with other attendees.
These workshops are delivered and funded through the Just Enterprise contract.
