Emily wins John Logie Baird Award
Emily Reid a previous Social Entrepreneur Level 2 winner from August last year has gone on to win the John Logie Baird award for Social Enterprise Innovator.
Eco Drama is an educational theatre company which brings shows and workshops to children, young people and the wider community.
On receiving the award Emily said "The Social Enterprise Innovator award means a lot to my social enterprise and will help publicise Eco Drama during its early growth stage and the soon to launch 'Magic Van'. It feels fantastic to be recognised for all the hard work, and what greater honour than to receive an award which celebrates one of Scotland’s greatest inventors – John Logie Baird.”
The company's new production, touring in May, is an ecological fable inspired by Eigg, the beautiful island off the west coast.
