Partners and Projects
We are funded by the Scottish Government to deliver business support and the Social Entrepreneurs Fund.
Just Enterprise- Just Enterprise is a new consortium bringing together Scotland's key social enterprise support agencies to provide business support and development services to Enterprising Third Sector Organisations across Scotland. Firstport is one of the lead partners in the consortium and delivers the business support services to new and emerging social enterprises in Scotland. The Just Enterprise contract allows Firstport to provide telephone and one to one business support services, as well as our programme of workshops.
Scottish Government- The Scottish Government's Social Entrepreneurs Fund is a £1 million fund aimed at individuals with ideas to start up new social enterprise in Scotland. Individuals can apply for awards up to £5,000 or up to £20,000.
Scotland Unltd- We work in partnership with Scotland UnLtd who deliver the Millenium Awards Trust programme.
European Structural Fund- In partnership with Edinburgh Business Development (part of the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce), Firstport delivers the Social Enterprise Skills Exchange, which aims to build the capacity of the sector by connecting the business community with social enterprises.
NESTA- We work in partnership with NESTA providing business support for the Age Unlimited Scotland programme, which aims to stimulate entrepreneurial activity in people in their 50s and 60s to create new services for people in their later years and reduce social isolation in Scotland.
