Dr Emma Ives (she/her) – Associate
Since 2021, Emma has worked with Firstport, delivering business support through Just Enterprise, and on partnership programmes Ready to Rise and Enterprise in Place.
Emma is a freelance enterprise and business advisor who helps turn ideas into reality, with a strong focus on inclusive, impact-led business. She specialises in supporting under-represented groups, particularly women in enterprise, and has led initiatives such as the Sustainable Development Goal 5 (gender equality) Living Lab with Bright Red Triangle at Edinburgh Napier University.
She uses a person-centred, feminist, and gender-aware approach to business support, drawing on experience in project management, training, research, and consultancy. She holds a PhD in Management, a Postgraduate Diploma in Career Guidance and Development, and a BA (Hons) from Glasgow School of Art.
