Firstport’s CEO to step down in September

Josiah Lockhart will step down from his position next month.

Josiah Lockhart will step down from his position as Firstport for Social Entrepreneurs Group Chief Executive after five years at the helm. A period that saw Firstport expand across the country, more than double in size and increase its impact on communities and businesses.

He departs to start a new post as Chief Executive Officer of Changeworks, Scotland’s leading environmental charity delivering solutions for low carbon living. He will remain in his current position until September to ensure a smooth transition for the next Chief Executive.

Josiah’s contribution to Firstport has been exceptional, he has overseen the transformation of the organisation during a period of uncertainty and constant change. Under his leadership Firstport successfully launched a new strategy which included founding our sister company Firstimpact and an investment arm to take forward the £15m Catalyst Fund. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Firstport contributed to the emergency response and recovery of the sector effectively and positively, emerging from the pandemic on an even firmer footing.

We are grateful to Josiah for all he has achieved during his tenure and wish him all the best in his new post.
