Megan Veronesi – Head of Business Development and Partnerships
Megan is responsible for growth, innovation and the design, development and management of new programmes across the Firstport Group.
Megan joined Firstport from a tech start-up in London, where she set-up and led the charity partnerships team raising over £90 million for charity. Prior to that, she specialised in designing innovative community-based health and social care services for charities including Marie Curie and Terrence Higgins Trust. She has also set-up and run an award-winning communications team.
Megan is Vice-Chair and NED of social enterprise language school Lingo Flamingo and trustee of Edinburgh World Heritage, an independent charity and grant funder that protects and promotes the city’s UNESCO world heritage status. She is also a volunteer and member of Changing the Chemistry, a charity which aims to improve board effectiveness through diversity of thought.
Megan loves meeting entrepreneurs at all stages and using her networks to help people make connections and access the support they need. She is passionate about supporting businesses to harness the opportunities of the digital age and champions the adoption of new tech and ways of working. She is also a champion of equality and diversity and won Employee of the Year in the National Diversity Awards 2021.
