Disability Confident Committed
As a Disability Confident Committed Employer we have committed to:
- ensuring our recruitment process is inclusive and accessible when communicating and promoting vacancies
- offering an interview to disabled people who meet the minimum criteria for the job
- anticipating and meeting accessibility requirements
- supporting team members who acquire a disability or long-term health condition, enabling them to stay in work
- at least one activity that will make a difference for disabled people
Diversity and Inclusion
We’re embedding diversity and inclusion (D&I) into everything we do – ensuring fairness and representation are at the heart of our work, so every voice in our network is heard and valued.
Since 2020, our D&I working group has formalised our commitments. In 2024, our new D&I framework provided a clear roadmap for action, strengthening recruitment, communication, and training.
So far, we have:
- delivered training, including internal learning on unintentional discrimination with EqualiTeach
- started embedding diversity and inclusion into our board-level governance
- amplified the perspectives of diverse social entrepreneurs including disability inclusion and the experience of being a black social entrepreneur.
Our work has been recognised by the National Centre for Diversity through an Investors in Diversity accreditation (2021, 2023, 2025) and as a Top 100 Most Inclusive Workplace (2022, 2023, 2025).
In 2024, we also produced the Access Report with Dechomai and Social Investment Scotland, highlighting barriers ethnic minority social entrepreneurs face to investment.
