We will be looking for applications that can evidence an important social / environmental challenge relevant to theme and how their proposed solution tackles this challenge. As such, this session could highlight the importance of market research, community engagement and clear plans for measuring and evidencing social impact.

Social impact is at the very heart of social enterprise. However, direct social impact comes in many different shapes and sizes and can therefore be hard to define. In some cases, it can be even harder to measure or evidence. This session will cover an introduction to what direct social impact is, as well as highlighting the importance of market research and community engagement in shaping the environmental and social benefits that a social enterprise might deliver.
