We are the first port of call for social entrepreneurs and our mission is to make social enterprise accessible, achievable and aspirational.

We have an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, proactive and effective communications professional to join our team. The successful candidate will help us reach and engage with our diverse audiences, whether through the production of engaging content or by delivering outreach activities that raise awareness of our work.

The day-to-day role involves delivering on communications, outreach and customer experience work.

This includes attending (and sometimes presenting) events, so good communication skills are essential. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are necessary, too. The role would be a good fit for someone with some experience of creating and maintaining webpages, newsletters, and case studies and a flair for producing creative content and telling compelling stories.

You will be confident in answering phone, email, and face-to-face enquiries from clients, stakeholders, and the media about our services and work. Curious by nature, you will be the eyes and ears of Firstport, keeping the team up to speed with developments within our sector.

The role is varied, working across programmes and projects. Hence, the ability to multi-task, prioritise and work to deadlines is essential.

We are a flexible employer open to flexible working requests that help employees balance their lives. You can find more information about this, our culture, and values by downloading the Working At Firstport document here.
