Ready to RISE (Readiness and Incubation for the Social Economy) is a free training programme designed to support women and non-binary people across Scotland learn about social enterprise and discover their potential to use entrepreneurship to make a living, work flexibly, and positively impact their communities.
Ready to RISE is 8-weeks long and takes place online on Wednesdays from 10am-12.30pm, with the first cohort starting in September.
The training is designed to help you build confidence, develop your skills, and explore your ideas. It covers creating a work/life blend that suits you, managing yourself and others, building your network, and includes an ideation session plus practical guidance on starting a social enterprise.
There are 15-20 places available, and there’s potential to access up to £1,000 in grant funding to help take your idea forward.
We have information sessions coming up, where you can learn more about what Ready to RISE looks like, hear from inspiring social entrepreneurs and ask your important questions:
- On Thursday 4 June 1.30 PM-3.30 PM at The Wee Retreat Southside in Glasgow featuring fantastic social entrepreneur Trudi Donahue from Wild&Kind
- An online information session on Wednesday 17 June 10.00-11.30 AM run by the Making Work Work team (part of the Challenges Group) featuring a panel of entrepreneurs
